Uma Thurman Nabs "Nymphomaniac" Role

Uma Thurman has joined the cast of Danish director Lars von Trier's ambitious erotic drama 2-fer The Nymphomaniac/The Nymphomaniac Part 2 says THR.

The story focuses on a woman's erotic journey from birth to the age of 50, as told in eight chapters by a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac named Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg/Stacy Martin) as recounted to her husband (Stellan Skarsgard).


It is unknown what role Thurman will play in the film.

Shia Labeouf, Nicolas Bro, Jesper Christensen, Jens Albinus, Shanti Roney Jamie Bell Connie Nielsen Udo Kier, Christian Slater and Severin von Hoensbroech also star. Nicole Kidman may appear in a small role.

An eleven-week shoot on the project is underway in Germany and the film will have two cuts - one more sexuality explicit than the other.
