The pair started doing voice work for the sequel last week with George Miller returning to call action. Their specific roles are unknown at this time in the CGI animated pic about dancing penguins .
The pair join returning cast members Elijah Wood and Robin Williams.
It is not known whether Brittany Murphy's character Gloria will be recast or cut from the film.
The Clueless star died in December after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Hollywood Hills home.
Happy Feet 2 will be in theatres on November 18, 2011.
