British actor Nicholas Hoult (About A Boy A Single Man) has joined the cast of “Mad Max 4: Fury Road" says The Hollywood Reporter.The movie is set a short while after the events seen in 1985’s “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,” which keeps Mad Max, the character originated by Mel Gibson, relatively young.
Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy (Bronson, Star Trek: Nemesis, RocknRolla) star in the film..
Singer/actress Zoë Kravitz Australian actress Adelaide Clemens and the previously-leaked (by actor Jay Baruchel) Teresa Palmer are also in talks to join the sequel.
Hoult will play Nux, Kravitz plays Five Wives, and Palmer and Clemens are folks in a convoy being chased by bad guys.
Hoult is certainly a rising star--Hard to think of him as the same kid from About A Boy...
George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) will direct the actioner.
Filming kicks off in Australia later this year..
