Webb Shooter?

(500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb is the current front runner to take the director's chair on Spider-Man 4, the reboot, reports Deadline Hollywood.

The studio apparently has a "wish list" of directors that also includes , James Cameron David Fincher ("Zodiac"), and Wes Anderson ("Rushmore"). QuietEarth adds Armored / Predators director, Nimród Antal, to the list.

Webb however has already met with producers and studio executives to talk about getting the movie underway later this year for a summer 2012 release.

If Webb is in as the director would it mean people would be looking to his Days Joseph Gordon-Levitt to fill the title super hero role? Or is it gonna be Robert Pattinson For Spider Man?

The studio reportedly still wants to shoot the film in 3-D. UGH!

A couple of things: Cameron is a looooong shotttttt! Webb or Antal would be the inexpensive picks on the list for the studio to direct

Stay Tuned....
