Body Count

Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson have joined the horror comedy "Burke And Hare" says Heat Vision Blog.

The film is based on the true story a pair of the U.K.'s earliest serial killers, William Burke &William Hare.

Burke and Hare were gravediggers who lucratively sold the corpses of their victims to a medical college for dissection.

Simon Pegg is Burke Fisher will play Pegg's girlfriend, an actress looking for a patron who might or might not be an accomplice to the murders. Wilkinson will play Dr. Robert Knox, an anatomy professor looking for fresh corpses.

The pic will be directed by John Landis and is written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft.

Meantime Pegg has confirmed via Twitter that actor David Tennant, who was to play Hare in the film, has been replaced by "Lord of the Rings Trilogy" actor Andy Serkis. While no reason was given for the casting switch--Scheduling conflicts were the likely cause...

Filming kicks off January 31st in Edinburgh and London.
