House Bunny Roomie

James Marsden has landed the lead role in the live-action/CG-animated hybrid comedy I Hop says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Cinco Paul, Ken Daurio and Brian Lynch screenplay follows of Fred (Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world's worst house guest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up.

Tim Hill (Alvin And The Chipmunks, Garfield: A Tail Of Two Kitties) is directing the pic.

No production date was announced.

Marsden is no stranger to this kind of work, having starred in 2007's Enchanted, which also combined live-action with CGI animation.

Marsden was also was quite good in the adult comedy Sex Drive...After taking on the more intense upcoming pic Straw Dogs he probably needed to lighten up a bit.
