Tatum O'Neal has joined the indie drama "Mr. Sophistication" according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film follows a successful but self-destructive comedian (Harry Lennix of TV's Dollhouse) who loses his celebrity status and then gets a last shot at stardom back in Los Angeles years later.
O'Neal plays the comic's wife and business partner, who helps him beat his drug addiction.
The movie is written and directed by Danny Green--who spent years as a second assistant director in films like Stomp The Yard, American Dreamz, Flight Of The Phoenix and Envy.
Having dealt with demons in her own family O'Neal seems like a good choice here.
No production date has been set.
