Twenty five years later, filmmaker John Boorman ("Deliverance," "Excalibur") is finally getting around to make a sequel to his 1987 Oscar nominated film "Hope and Glory" says Variety.
The semi-autobiographical, original was set in the early parts of World War II and follows a nine year old boy and his London suburban family's experiences during the Blitz as it brings them together.
In the sequel, "Queen and Country", the boy has grown up and has been conscripted into the military at the tail end of the Korean War.
Caleb Landry Jones ("X-Men: First Class," "Byzantium") is in negotiations to star. Jones is also attached to the sci-fi feature "Broken Dream", but that will likely shoot after 'Queen'
Boorman will helm the film from a script he wrote.
He and Kieran Corrigan will produce the pic.
Production is due to take place in London.
