Tatum On Magic Mike 2

Since Steven Soderbergh’s moved on to other things, star Channing Tatum told The Film Stage that he might be directing Magic Mike 2.

The original Magic Mike is inspired by Tatum's pre-Hollywood days as a male dancer--The biopic followed a newcomer to the world of exotic dancing (Alex Pettyfer) who is tempted by an older woman (Demi Moore) as well as forging a bond with a mentor to the younger stripper--The titular Magic Mike (Tatum)

"The goal is to make it more comedic than the first film. It's a road movie where a bunch of strippers get back together. It's more of a broad comedy" says Tatum.

The first film  hits disc on October 23rd
