The story focuses on a woman's erotic journey from birth to the age of 50, as told in eight chapters by a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac named Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg/Stacy Martin) as recounted to her husband (Stellan Skarsgard).
Slater will play Joe's Dad.
Shia Labeouf, Nicolas Bro, Jesper Christensen, Jens Albinus, Shanti Roney Jamie Bell Connie Nielsen Udo Kier and Severin von Hoensbroech also star. Nicole Kidman may appear in a small role.
An eleven-week shoot on the project is underway in Germany and the film will have two cuts - one more sexuality explicit than the other.
