Amell Wants In On "Justice League" Film

The star of The CW's popular Arrow TV series Stephen Amell wants to take his version of Green Arrow to the big screen for the "Justice League" movie.

The "Justice League " teams DC Entertainment's most famous heroes (Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, among others).

Amell joked to Sci-Fi Now that he would "sweep the floors when they were done" just to be a part of the action.

In terms of how the character would fit into the dynamic, He says:

"I think that Green Arrow has an opportunity to mature in much the same way Iron Man did in the Marvel universe. He wasn’t necessarily a top level character, but because they made an Iron Man movie and it was successful, it vaulted him up and now he anchors the The Avengers. It’s always up to what’s popular at the moment. Right now archery seems to be having a mini renaissance, so hopefully he can settle into a firm rotating member of the DC Justice League of America"

I enjoy what Amell does on a weekly basis and would welcome his incarnation in the team up film. It would certainly make sense practically anyway. We have been told though that "Man Of Steel" is the first stepping stone leading into the JL flick

The suits over at Warner Bros recently scraped Will Beale's script which was said to take its cues from the storyline by Gerry Conway from Justice League Of America 183-185. sees Darkseid, the oppressive god ruler of the war planet Apokolips, planning the destruction of Earth by blasting it with a weapon that moves Apokolips into Earth’s place.

The storyline has the Justice League teaming up with the Justice Society of America--That could have been great but was it too ambitious?
