D.J. Caruso is going to helm "Jack the Giant Killer", a more adult dramatic telling of the classic childhood fable 'Jack and the Beanstalk, says Variety.The premise begins when a princess is kidnapped putting a long-standing peace between men and giants in jeopardy As a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.
Mark Bomback wrote the script.
This project officially puts Caruso in the "full plate club" what with Y: The Last Man also in the planning stages for him as well. Variety doesn't say whether Giant Killer is actually his next project or something down the line.
