Big Leaguer

McG is primed to direct an update of 1954's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" according to Variety.

The film is an origin story of Nemo as he creates his warship the Nautilus. The characters come from the Jules Verne book which was adapted an an Oscar-winning movie starring Kirk Douglas and James Mason.

Likely to be McG's next project, he's getting $8 million against 7% of gross. He's also in discussions to supervise development and direct the ‘Terminator sequel " .

The family film is being fast tracked by the studio and production is hoping to commence filming later this year.

Wow! This is another big get for McG--If he plays his cards right--he will make folks forget he made the fun fluff that is Charlie's Angels and its sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
