Dante Harper is set to write the horror-action comedy script for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters says The Hollywood Reporter.The story picks up 15 years after Hansel and Gretel's traumatic gingerbread house incident, which caused them to become witch bounty hunters.
Tommy Wirkola ("Dead Snow") will call action on the flick
Kevin Messick, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy will be producing.
The film is said to follow a "Shaun of the Dead" gory-but-funny template.
