It's a Stephen Root 2-fer-1...He has joined the cast of the comedy "Cedar Rapids" and the historical drama "The Conspirator" says The Hollywood Reporter.
In "Rapids," Root plays the proud owner of an insurance company and boss of the film's lead Ed Helms, Anne Heche and John C. Reilly srar. Miguel Arteta directs.
In "The Conspirator", he plays a principal witness for the prosecution in the trail of a Confederate sympathizer who was a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination.
James McAvoy and Robin Wright star for Robert Redford.
