It's not easy to be McG right now...
First “Terminator Salvation,” under performs at the Summer '09 box office, and now--according to Variety--the director's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo has been put on indefinite hold...
The Disney suits confirmed that the studio won’t proceed with the film for now, and reps for the director confirmed he has withdrawn from the big budget pic.
He will instead move on to other projects that include “Dead Spy Running,” a drama penned by Stephen Gaghan. He is also attached to “Terminator 5,” though that movie is also on hold as with the Terminator franchise now in bankruptcy court and up for bid. And a new TV gig with Larry Charles.
