To Sand With Love

Entertainment Weekly says french filmmaker Pierre Morel, who directed the hit actioner “Taken” and “From Paris With Love”-out February 5th, has signed on to helm the new version of “Dune“.



Morel replaces Peter Berg, who decided to leave the project in October 2009 because he has committed to helm the upcoming action movie “Battleship“.

A new scribe will now be hired to incorporate Morel’s vision of the project into the current script by Joshua Zetumer which is expected to be a very faithful adaptation of Frank Herbert's sci-fi novel classic.
