The Indomina Group has optioned the rights to two new "Cabin Fever" movies to be shot back-to-back in the Dominican Republic in early Spring.
Eli Roth directed the original 2002 indie horror comedy about a group of college graduates who rent a cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a flesh-eating virus. A 2009 sequel was produced
Jake Wade Wall ("The Hitcher," "When a Stranger Calls") has signed on to pen the screenplay for the first sequel "Cabin Fever: Patient Zero". The story takes place on a cruise ship in the Caribbean colliding with an abandoned research vessel, unleashing the deadly virus.
Adam Marcus and Deborah Marcus will be writing the second one "Cabin Fever: Outbreak" which follows a doctor and his family who travel to a remote Caribbean island to investigate a minor flu outbreak, only to discover a vicious flesh-eating virus that threatens everyone on the island.
