First Look: Nick Jonas In "Careful What You Wish For"

The break up of the Jonas Brothers came as a shock to many of the group's young fans...who no do doubt were expecting the dream to last for ever....

A side effect of the split means that the trio will start to pop up in other mediums besides music.

Right on cue comes a peek of the thriller Careful What You Wish For. The film has been described as a “sexy thriller reminiscent of Basic Instinct and "Body Heat." While that comparison seems a bit of a stretch--The film does seem to want to recapture the spirit---albeit toned down--of the thrillers of the 80's early 90's.

The story follows self-conscious high school student Doug Martin (22 year old Nick Jonas) who gets more than he bargained for when he starts a an affair with Lena (Isabel Lucas)—the young, lonely wife of a wealthy investment banker (Dermot Mulroney) renting the lake house next door. When a serious crime rocks the sleepy vacation town, Doug is told a devastating secret and suddenly finds himself a suspect.

Chris Frisina wrote the script from which Elizabeth Allen called action.

Ashok Amritraj, Robert Stein, Michael A. Helfant, Bradley Gallo, and Kirk D'Amico are producing the film.

The pic is likely to be released next year, but hasn't locked down a distribution deal yet.
