"The Wolverine" Gets A Sequel

Fox has started negotiations with director James Mangold for a sequel to this past summer's "The Wolverine" says Deadline.

The reviews for "The Wolverine" were a soft positive, better than "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" but not up there with the film series best entries "X2" and "X-Men: First Class". It made a solid, but still quiet $132 million in the US.

Strong international box-office however has resulted in "The Wolverine" becoming the second highest grossing "X-Men" film of all time with a total haul of $413 million worldwide.

Mangold is currently making a deal to write a treatment for the film. The storyline is being kept under tight wraps for now.

Lauren Shuler Donner is already set to produce.

The big question for me is whether Hugh Jackman will return or not...
