THR reports that Scott Eastwood ("Texas Chainsaw 3D," "Fury") is joining the film adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks' latest novel "The Longest Ride".
The tome follows two couples - an elderly man who recounts his younger
years with the love of his life, and a love affair between a college
senior and a young cowboy (Eastwood) at a bull-riding event. The two
couples, who have little in common, find their lives converging.
Craig Bolotin ("Black Rain," "Straight Talk") wrote the adapted screenplay for helmer George Tillman Jr..
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey ("The Twilight Saga") are set to produce the film with Sparks, Theresa Park and Robert Teitel
The adaptation is due to hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
