Halcyon Entertainment will auction off the rights to the property later this month according to The Financial Times.
Several buyers have expressed interest in the film rights including all the big film studios with Sony Pictures leading the pack.
Summit Entertainment and Media Rights Capital are also circling the sale.
The auction will not cover the previous Terminator films or the "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" TV series, though giving the buyer rights to make new films, TV series and other spin-offs.
