Cox In The "Fight"

Brian Cox (Super Troopers) has joined the cast of the political comedy "Dog Fight" says Variety

The film centers on competing presidential candidates played by Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis

Cox will play Galifianakis' father, a former Senator who has always been distant toward his family, especially his son.

Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott Sarah Baker and Katherine Lanasa also star.

Chris Henchy and Shawn Harwell wrote the screenplay for director Jay Roach

Adam McKay will co-produce the film with Will, Zach and Roach

Production will start this month in New Orleans with a release date scheduled for August 10, 2012 just in time for the next US Presidential election.

Surely Cox will elevate the material as he almost always does
