Adam Shankman will call the shots on the film adaptation of John Grisham's "Playing For Pizza" according to Variety.It's a non legal story by Grisham about a veteran NFL quarterback who winds up on a semi-pro team in Italy after blowing his last chance to lead a team to the Super Bowl.
J. Mills Goodloe pens the screenplay.
Shankman's resume is just quirky enough to handle this...I think.
Shankman has lined this flick up as his next assignment and is planning a spring production start in Italy.
