Media reports swirled late yesterday that actor Shia LaBeouf had to get at least one of his fingers amputated...
According to the Transformers star's spokesperson it's"totally untrue".
Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons explains how the "story took on a life of its own":
Speaking with The LA Times, the rep shot down the report which originated at Star Magazine yesterday. That report alleged that the 22-year-old actor called producers of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" the other day to tell him that his left pinky finger, which was injured during his car accident in West Hollywood two weeks ago, may have to be amputated
...one finger became 2-3 fingers and still others speculated that the missing fingers would actually be worked into the film's storyline.
That particular nonsense started when quotes from an Access Hollywood interview with Michael Bay indicated that he's figuring out a way to shoot around LaBeouf's injuries.
Ah! you gotta love the media...
Meantime...Promoting "Star Wars: Clone Wars", George Lucas tells MTV talk of developing a fifth "Indy"flick with LaBeouf's character in the lead is not happening-needs Ford to continue.
That's not what Lucas said as Indy IV set to open back in May...
-LaBeouf's thriller "Eagle Eye" is gonna get a simultaneous IMAX debut on September 26th, with a "Transformers 2" teaser trailer looks attached to it.
Talk about synergy in promotion...
