Chatting with producer Gary Lucchesi the gang at Collider got him to "sing" about the upcoming "Fame" update.With a budget of around $25-30 million, the film has been scheduled for a September 25th 2009 release.The project is set in the present day and will use all new songs except for the classic title track.
The students the story will all be played by unknowns, but some of the faculty will be bigger names. Casting unknowns is the way to go as far as the kids are concerned. As long as none of the gang from the High School Musical films show up things should be fine.
Filming will begin this November in New York and Los Angeles.
