Austin Chick is writing an as-yet- untitled thriller set in The Hamptons according to The Hollywood Reporter.Described as Cruel Intentions meets A Simple Plan.
The premise is a familiar one:
3 twenty-somethings -- two brothers and a brother's girlfriend -- who, while vacationing in the Hamptons, find a stash of money. Soon the trio get snared in an increasingly complex plan to divide it up. Oh and did I mention they are being cased by folks who want their money back. A love triangle also figures into the tale.
Chick's August got limited play this Summer--Despite a few conventions-with proper casting this project could put him on the map.
Shooting will begin in March on Long Island with casting to be announced shortly.
