Talking with Reuters, Pirates pretty boy Orlando Bloom told the news service he's getting serious for his next movie:
Based on the book Fools Rush In by American writer and filmmaker Bill Carter, the story deals with Carter's experience as an aid worker in Bosnia during a 43-month-long shelling of the capital city of Sarajevo, during the war of the 90's.
At a presser in Sarajevo yesterday, Bloom said that "I'm not in fact playing Bill in this movie but I read the script and the very human story at the very core of this film spoke to me very clearly."
He added that "we would very much like to make the film here."
Bloom obviously wants to prove his dramatic skills as an actor. It's interesting that Bloom's not the lead...I wonder who that will be? Most of the usuals are already booked.
Brazilian director Andrucha Waddington calls action with production expected to start before the end of the year.
