Ergo Argo

Zak Penn will write and produce a film called "Argonauts"says Variety.

In Greek mythology, the Argonauts were a band of heroic sailors who, in the years before the Trojan War, accompanied Jason to Colchis on his quest to find the Golden Fleece.

The tale was famously adapted for the big screen once before into a 1963 flick with Ray Harryhausen's pioneering use of stop-motion monsters and photography.

DreamWorks SKG has a similar project in the pipeline about their famed ship the Argo and time travel.



Penn is a talented writer who should be able to do the tale justice....Still the sheer fun of the 60's pic will be hard to beat...
