Baz Luhrmann's period romance drama "Australia" is the latest flick to be travelin'
Starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman-the war movie has moved out of its November 14th release spot pushed back to the November 26th Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
This is the latest ripple in the fall release schedule since "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" having opted out till next year.
When Quantum Of Solace was tilted back a week recently, it was expected that Luhrmann's romantic epic would move to avoid Bond. Opening against 007 in its third week and "Twilight" in its 2nd week the film now has a shot at being #1 during that time--if it's target demo-older women--buy tix and it overcomes a lack of buzz.
It may now have a clear field for that one weekend...But word of mouth/critics positive reaction is key...Without BUZZ just prior to its debut...It doesn't stand a chance regardless of its competition or lack thereof...
