Yet another film from my teen years is getting a do-over...Juliet Snowden & Stiles White have been tapped to write the screenplay for the remake of the Tobe Hooper-directed, -Steven Spielberg written 1982 classic "Poltergeist" says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story sees a suburban family terrified by a haunted Indian burial ground inhabited by a bevy of nasty spirits
The original film was hugely popular but also achieved cult status with the so called Poltergeist curse.
The lore surrounding the film series aside, surely the new script will have to have a new hook at the end...A tough act to follow indeed as far as I'm concerned.
Snowden and White have also been involved in the long-in discussion remake of The Birds
