Leo And Sean Might Team Up

Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn are in talks to play the two leads in the film adaptation of Michael Punke's novel "The Revenant" says Deadline.

Alejandro González Iñárritu will helm the story of 1820s frontiersman Hugh Glass (DiCaprio) on a fur trapping expedition and is so badly mauled by a bear he’s unable to be transported back from the wilderness. He hires two men (Penn would play one) to stay behind to tend to him, but they rob and abandon him. When he recovers, he is hellbent on revenge.

Mark L. Smith wrote the adapted script

Steve Golin, David Kanter, Keith Redmon will produce.

Production kicks off next Fall.
