A third live-action movie based on the cartoon "Scooby Doo" is going the direct-to-DVD route according to Variety,.The prequel flick. set for release next year, is entitled "Scooby Doo: The Beginning" will also be shown on the Cartoon Network
The film chronicles Scooby Doo and his human pals during their younger years. Particularly how they came together to expose what's really haunting their high school.
The film will once again will feature live action combined with computer-generated characters.
None of the cast from the previous 2 pics will appear.
Both the 2002 and 2004 films had their merits for fluff and fun...But as a general rule DTDVD flicks pale by comparison to the cinematic counterparts
Production starts this week in Vancouver with Brian Levant calling the shots.
