David O. Russell will direct the romantic comedy "Aaron and Sarah" says Variety.
The story centers on a nerdy guy and a popular girl who meet as freshmen and, over four years of high school, four proms and one funeral, become friends and eventually fall in love.
Husband and wife team Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey wrote the screenplay.
O. Russell just does not strike me as The Rom-Com Type in a traditional sense with quirky "Three Kings" "I Heart Huckabees," and the troubled upcoming flick Nailed, on his resume. This marks the third flick he's got in the pipeline...
The film was previously known as "B.F.F.".
