Director Patrick Lussier told those attending Fangoria's Weekend Of Horrors event that the suits at Lionsgate have no interest in a sequel to "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" according to a STYD posting
Lussier says the studio was surprised by the film's box-office success, but doesn't want to develop a follow-up and would prefer to leave the film as a one-shot.
Both Lussier and writer Todd Farmer have each said they have ideas in mind for a sequel...
It's box office haul of: $51,527,787 doesn't warrant a follow-up? Did not see this one yet but almost every recent horror film is getting or will get a sequel...
Lussier also said that Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) was the killer in the first draft of the screenplay and that there will be 30 minutes of deleted scenes and an alternate ending when Bloody V-3D comes to DVD and Blu-Ray on May 19th.
