Twilight star Kellan Lutz joins Thomas Dekker, Kyle Gallner Jackie Earle Haley and Rooney Mara in the Nightmare On Elm Street update according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lutz is currently shooting "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," so his part as a jock will be scheduled later into the shoot




Lutz is no stranger to the horror remake, having appeared in 2008's version of Prom Night,--he also appeared in the first rate cable mini-series "Generation Kill." as Cpl. Jason Lilley.

Given Lutz' schedule I suspect Freddy will make mince meat out of him pretty quick.

Samuel Bayer is directing the flick which kicks off May 5th in Chicago.
