A trio of industry bits over the past week...

**Sofia Coppola's next flick will be the dramedy "Somewhere" says Variety.

Stephen Dorff (pictured) and Elle Fanning star in the story of a bad-boy actor living a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood.

An unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, puts him on a path to reexamine his life.

Coppola penned the script and has received permission to shoot at the hotel.

**Say what? Director McG is in talks to turn the coming of age Broadway rock musical "Spring Awakening" into a feature film says The Hollywood Reporter.

**More Asian films Americanized--Producer Arthur M. Sarkissian has plans to remake Johnnie To's Mad Detective" and The Mission " says Variety.
