Denzel Washington is in talks to star in Unstoppable for Tony Scott reports Variety.
Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard) wrote the script which is, loosely based on a true story
Washington is playing an experienced engineer who jumps in a locomotive with a young conductor to chase down a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals.
The project would mark the fifth time Washington and Scott have worked together for the tense submarine thriller Crimson Tide, revenge themed Man On Fire, sci-fi flick Deja Vu, and the upcoming train-based thriller remake "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" (June 12th, 2009)
Of those Tide still stands out as the best--Pelham has great potential though---Either way--they make a fine combo--Little weird that it's another train tale
Filming kicks off this Fall.
