The comedy The Hangover is still a couple of month's away from its June 5, 2009 but director Todd Phillips has already been set to write a sequel says Variety.
Scot Armstrong will co-write the follow-up
The first film follows three groomsmen who wake-up after an intense bachelor party in Las Vegas. Having lost the groom Doug and forgotten everything that happened, they must retrace their hazy steps in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.
Phillips will be back to direct and produce the sequel.
The studio has already inked deals with the film's trio of stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. They hope to go into production later this year.
Rachael Harris, Ken Jeong and Heather Graham co-star in the first flick...
Philips' work can be a bit hit and miss...But I have to say this one looks pretty funny....
The studio is adopting the Star Trek model of doing a sequel...which means at least they like what they see...
