Danny Boyle will direct a biopic about mountain man hero Aron Ralston called "127 Hours" says Variety.
As chronicled in the book Between a Rock and a Hard Place--Ralston's right forearm got pinned for nearly five days under a boulder during a climb in Utah in May 2003. He used a dull knife to amputate the limb, then scaled a 65-foot sheer wall and hiked out before running into a family that gave him water and food.
Boyle would reunite with his Slumdog Millionaire pals Simon Beaufoy who is being tipped to write the screenplay and producer Christian Colson.
A great cinematic story that should really soar with Boyle and his team in charge.
Filming kicks off early next year for a late Fall 2010 release
