Quentin Tarantino's World War II epic "Inglourious Basterds" will compete at this year's Cannes International Film Festival reports Variety.The film follows a band of Jewish-American soldiers whose mission is to take down a group of Nazis--with Brad Pitt leading the way.
The film hits the cineplex on August 21st.
Tarantino promised The Weinstein Company and Universal Pictures that the film will be ready for the May festival.
