Chris Pine has landed his first film since Star Trek came out...
Pine is in talks to join in on Tony Scott's action-thriller "Unstoppable" says The Hollywood Reporter.
The script centers on an experienced train engineer (Denzel Washington) about to be laid off as part of company cutbacks and the newbie (Pine) conductor hired to replace him.
They find themselves in a race against time to stop an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying enough combustible liquids and poisonous gas to wipe out a nearby city.
Mark Bomback wrote the script.
This is a smart move on Pine's part--Teaming with Washington and Scott means a bankable film but as co-star he's not carrying the entire load. And Trek geeks will help fill some seats too I'm sure.
