Pronounced dead recently--the Barbarella remake has now been revived...
Aussie director Robert Luketic is now calling calling action on the update reports EW.
Luketic is working with producer Dino De Laurentiis on the flick.
Robert Rodriguez had been attached to direct and Rose McGowan set to star in a previous version in development at Universal Pictures.
The sexy astronaut character debuted in 1962 in a French graphic magazine, but most notably came to fame via the 1968 film featuring Jane Fonda that De Laurentiis produced.
Luketic seems an odd fit given his past resume--but I'm a bit more intrigued now than I was before just the same.
In a six degrees moment Luketic told Fonda what to do in Monster-in-Law--might she cameo here?
