Mark Wahlberg and James Franco have signed on for supporting roles in Shawn Levy's upcoming comedy Date Night reports Variety.
Steve Carell and Tina Fey headline as a married couple who find their routine date night turning into much more than just the usual dinner and a movie.
Wahlberg plays a successful and crazily buff securities expert who flirts with Fey's character. Franco portrays a not-too-bright con man and petty criminal.
The script was written by Josh Klausner
Levy has assembled quite a supporting cast:
"People just kept saying yes. I think people just really wanted to work with Tina and Steve."
Franco is obviously still riding his comedy wave from Pineapple Express And it's good yo see Wahlberg yuk it up after some recent dark roles
Also starring Leighton Meester, rapper Common recent Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson, Kristen Wiig and Jimmi Simpson.
