Is Sarah Michelle Gellar ready to return to the role that made her a star?ShowbizSpy reports that Gellar is in talks to reprise her role as Buffy Summers in a film sequel to the hit TV drama that ended in 2003.
Insiders claim "There is an idea for a script and to pick the story up with Buffy older and maybe even a mother."
While Gellar is currently busy with other projects, she is said to be excited about the idea.
Would Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Anthony Head, Michelle Trachtenberg, James Marsters-not to mention creator Joss Whedon return?
Although actor Marsters told Digitalspy--he would return as Spike in a new Buffy adventure or episode--but is doubtful that it would happen any time soon if at all
As a fan I would love to see the Buffster come back but I find this report dubious at best. Until I see an official statement...
The Buffy-verse began 1992 as a film that bared little relation to the darkly humored, mythology-heavy and emotional series that followed it.
