Dan Milano has been hired to pen the remake of 1986 film Short Circuit says Variety.Milano is best known as one of rhe writers in the TV shows "Greg the Bunny" and the hilarious Robot Chicken...
The original film was about a group of five advanced robots created by Newton Crosby (Steve Guttenberg) for the US government, as replacements for military Special Forces. After lighting strikes robot number five, he becomes “alive”, calls himself Johnny Five and flirts with Ally Sheedy
Milano plans to give the story a subversive edge over the original film scripted by Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson.
Milano makes a good choice here given the subversive intent
